Abstract

Among the pathogenic bacteria, Bacillus Thuringiensis is the one of potential bacterial insecticides which has the capability in crystallizing protein in the cell as an entomoxcyn or active agent of bioinsecticides. The advantages of bioinsecticides usage are toxic only to the insect target, and it is net creating bioinsecticides are toxic. The commercial form of Bacillus Thuringiensis is made from the active bacteria agent as mixing of spora and protein crystal and carrier. The active bacteria agent prepared by two kinds of fermentation methods, sub merged fermentation and semi solid fermentation. There are 7 bioinsecticide form available in Indonesia such as Granule, Flowable Concentrate, Wettable Powder, Suspension, Aqueous Suspension, Water Dispersible Granule and Ultra Low Volume. There product are not produce yet in Indonesia, just repacking for commercial purposes.

Abstract

Removal rate of COD varies with COD volume loading, aeration time and or flow rate of incoming waste water. Anaerobic process showed that the higher flow rate was continued the lower COD removal was yielded, whereas the aerobic pointed out that COD removal was obtained higher and higher as the flow rate was increased. Although coagulant was not used for this treatment, the experiment appeared to indicate a good result where average COD removal rate for Q1• Qz. Qjand Q4 are 93.8, 93.2, 91.0, and 92.4 % respectively.

Abstract

Sludge from citric acid industry can be purified to be gypsum. Purification was done by calcination process at the condition 1 atm pressure and 110 °C of temperature to get calcium sulphate hernihydrat or Plester de Paris. Calcium sulphate specification that we got are grew color, hygroscopis, unsoluble in water, unflammable, and will be hard if mixed with water.

Abstract

Morphology and thermal properties of strand of PET and PEN blend were investigated using differential scanning calorimeter, X - ray measurement and scanning electron microscope.The PET/PEN blend had almost an amorphous phase and showed definitely a single glass transition. Temperature of the glass transition increased with increasing PEN content. In anamorphous phase, PET is able to be miscible with PEN.
